I have been around people of uniform (police, firefighters, military, etc...) most of my life, and the stresses that I have heard about are difficult to imagine living with each day. I can empathize, sympathize and attempt to understand,k~https://www.blogger.com/profile/17308736457276683273noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6265919576439626812.post-15087082536380204182012-03-22T22:03:48.353-06:002012-03-22T22:03:48.353-06:00I'll check out the book Rain sounds cool. I cannot count the number of times I have heard from recovering alcoholics "look for the similarities, not the differences," and sure enough, if you do, you will find that there are many. But I'm hearing more and more from FF, that just want to escape treatment because they don't "Get" them. And I worry that that gap is killing firefighters by suicide.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17171252225944337595noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6265919576439626812.post-60803487479038688382012-03-22T10:54:01.205-06:002012-03-22T10:54:01.205-06:00I think I understand what you are saying.. it take...I think I understand what you are saying.. it takes a specialist to treat those who go through trauma all the time, (like a person with PTSD) and has alcoholism.
